HAPO Flash Cube Lights Up!

What's the big idea? A wrap-around LED digital graphic on the iconic 1978 "Flash Cube" building in Kennewick, WA as part of HAPO Community Credit Union's new headquarters renovation by EHS Design.  Scheduled to be completed next week, HAPO's main branch and mortgage center will occupy the first floor and administrative and training will be on the third floor.

EHS Design hires Interior Designer

EHS Design recently hired Interior Designer Brett Dearing.  Brett brings 17 years experience and broad portfolio of work in retail, education, hospitality, library, and corporate sectors in the U.S., Asia, and the Middle East. Brett earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Montana State University.

EHS Design's new offices

Enjoy a tour through our new offices in the historic Exchange Building in downtown Seattle. With soaring 20-foot ceilings and full-height windows, the 13,000 sf. space was demolished back to concrete and completely renovated. The central focus of the space is on collaboration "shops."  The open workrooms are a return to the past and a test for the future.

Umpqua Bank, Ballard location opens

The writing is on the wall that this is definitely a hip place to bank!  The Ballard store is the latest  to open in Seattle. The graphic walls, customized for its neighborhood, is part of the bank's branding strategy.  Tenant improvement by EHS Design.

Three New Hires at EHS

EHS Design, Inc. has recently added three staff to its roster of architects and interior designers.

Roberto Ramirez joins EHS Design as an Intern Architect with six years of healthcare, hospitality, residential, and tribal project experience.  He is currently working on several corporate, financial, and retail projects. Roberto earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arkansas.

 Megan Murdock, LEED AP comes to EHS Design as an Intern Architect.  She has four years experience working on theater and restaurant projects, and is currently working on the Washington State Convention Center renovation project.  Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Washington.

 Danielle Nevils, Associate IIDA, LEED Green Associate joins the firm as Interior Designer with three years experience in libraries, corporate, residential, and public works projects.  A recent graduate of Washington State University, Danielle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design, cum laude.

LEED Gold for Coast360 FCU 

EHS provided strategic and space planning, full architectural and interior design services for this new green headquarters and branch.  The 3-story building is Guam’s first private LEED® Gold certified building. Complete with internal atrium, covered walkway, and indigenous landscape design, key green features maximize daylight, harvest rainwater, and uses concrete — the only local building material — throughout.  Green Features:

  • Use of concrete (the only local building material) throughout the building
  • 50,000-gallon rainwater collection tank for re-use
  • Utilizing abundant natural daylight to reduce energy consumption
  • Sun-shading devices reduce solar temperature gain
  • Green roof
